Dan Hoffman Stand-Up Announced

That's right fellow SWE-ers, Dan Hoffman will be sharing his uniquely charming brand of stand-up comedy with the guests at G-SWE II: Cruise Control.

Hailing from Walpole, Mass, Daniel is a gentleman and a scholar. When he is not granting sight to the blind, he enjoys long walks on the beach, military exercises, and drinking warm cans of Busch Light. We look forward to his performance.

Last week Pencils of Promise, one of the featured charitable organizations supported by G-SWE broke ground on their first school in Pha Teung. A huge thank you to everyone who came and especially to those that were able to donate; know that you have helped increase educational opportunities for an entire community of Laotian children. Yes you heard it here first, G-SWE II: Cruise Control will be the weekend of January 8th and 9th, 2010. Start clearing your schedules now.

Everyone who came to the inaugural G-SWE can attest. It was not only the Greatest Ski Weekend Ever, but in fact a life changing experience (even for those of us who never quite made it out onto the slopes with one of those free passes that Ari was handing out like pieces of candy). People came from all over the country, all over the world in fact, to see old friends, make new ones, raise money for some worthy causes, enjoy poorly performed music (excluding the vocal stylings of one Mark Finch), and of course to ski and drink their faces off.

The thing everyone had in common was some sort of connection to one Ari Nielsen, and an "I have no idea what the f*** I am doing here, but Ari told me to come so I made the trip," sort of attitude.
